After high school, I enrolled at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. It was an incredible experience that gave me a solid foundation in both the technical and artistic sides of hairstyling. I learned how to combine precision with creativity, and it sparked a passion for the industry that continues to grow.

After graduation, I moved to the Chicago suburbs, eager to begin my career. There, I had the opportunity to apprentice under skilled and experienced stylists who helped me refine my craft. I spent eight years developing my skills, staying on top of trends, and learning everything I could. From advanced color techniques to modern cuts, I gained the knowledge and confidence to deliver the best results for my clients. Those years taught me the importance of continuous growth, and I’ve carried that mindset with me ever since.

When I’m not at the salon, I enjoy spending time with my two miniature dachshunds, who are a constant source of fun and energy. I also love working on landscaping projects in our yard, which is slowly but surely becoming the outdoor space I’ve envisioned. Whether I’m tackling a new planting project or winding down after a long day, I’m usually listening to a true crime podcast or my latest Audible pick. These hobbies help me recharge and stay inspired, so I can bring my best self to every client and every style.

Being a hairstylist has always been about more than just hair. It’s about creating a great experience, building connections, and helping people feel their best. I’m grateful to be able to do what I love every day and look forward to continuing this journey.

In 2012, I returned to Nebraska, settling in Lincoln. I joined the team at the Pink Flamingo Salon, where I continued to grow as a stylist while building connections with the local community. Over nine years, I worked with amazing clients who trusted me with their hair and shared parts of their lives with me. It’s one of my favorite parts of this profession—the relationships and trust that develop over time.

After nearly a decade at Pink Flamingo, I felt ready to take the next step. Opening my own salon space has been an exciting and fulfilling challenge. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable and leave feeling their best. I’m passionate about staying current with this ever-evolving industry and always looking for new techniques or ideas that could make a difference for my clients.
